Chester Charles Bennington:
Chester Charles Bennington (born March 20, 1976) is an American musician, singer-songwriter and actor. He is best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Linkin Park.
Bennington became known as a vocalist with Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which was a massive commercial success. The album was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005, making it the best-selling debut album of the decade. Linkin Park's following studio albums, Reanimation, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns, released in 2002, 2003, 2007, and 2010 respectively, continued the band's success. Bennington formed his own band, Dead by Sunrise as a side-project in 2005. The band's debut album, Out of Ashes was released on October 13, 2009. In 2007, Bennington was placed at #46 on Hit Parader's list of "Heavy Metal's All-Time Top 100 Vocalists".
Mike Shinoda:
Mike Shinoda was born on February 11, 1977. He is an American musician, record producer, and artist. He is best known as the rapper, songwriter,keyboardist, vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Linkin Park, along with his co-frontman and lead singer Chester Bennington, and as a solo rapper in his side-project, Fort Minor. He also provides artwork, production, and mixing for both groups
Rob Bourdon:
Drummer Rob Bourdon was born on January 20, 1979, in Calabasas, CA, making him the youngest member of rap-metal powerhouseLinkin Park. He began playing drums in elementary school after attending an Aerosmith concert with his mother, and played in the band Relative Degree with future Linkin Park bandmate Brad Delson while in high school in Agoura Hills, CA (the same school attended by members of modern rockers Hoobastank). When Relative Degree fell apart, Bourdon and Delson teamed up with schoolmate Mike Shinoda in the band Xero. The group kept running even after high school was over, evolving over time into a sextet and eventually becoming the multi-platinum-selling act Linkin Park. The band debuted in 2000 with the album Hybrid Theory, going on to become one of the most popular mainstream rock acts in the early 2000s.
Brad Delson:
Bradford Phillip "Brad" Delson (born December 1, 1977) is an American guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist and one of the founding members of the Grammy Award winning rock bandLinkin Park. He is also the A&R Representative for Machine Shop Recordings.
David Fareel:
Farrell was born in Plymouth, Massachusetts but later moved to Mission Viejo, California when he was five. He attended Mission Viejo High School. He also graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999 . He is adept at playing the bass guitar, electric guitar, cello and violin. He has also been known to play an upright bass at some concerts.
Farrell was a member of a Christian ska/Christian punk band known as theTasty Snax. While attending college, he would practice with Brad Delson in their dorm room together. However, because he had to play and tour with the Tasty Snax, he could not play with Delson and his band, which would become Linkin Park. After changing their name to Snax, Farrell began playing bass guitar in the band before leaving once again to join Linkin Park full-time to play bass. Farrell's fellow band mate Mark Fiore became Linkin Park's videographer. As described in the inlay for Reanimation he uses an Ernie Ball Music Man Bass.
Joe Hahn:
Joseph "Joe" Hahn, better known by his stage name, Mr. Hahn, is an American turntablistand director best known as the DJ and sampler for the band Linkin Park.Hahn began deejaying in high school, and he studied illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In college, he met Mike Shinoda, and joined his band Xero, which later became known as Linkin Park.
Hahn and Shinoda guested in The X-Ecutioners' hit single "It's Going Down".Hahn also guested in Shinoda's Fort Minor album The Rising Tied.
Hahn has directed several of Linkin Park's music videos, such as those for "Numb", "From the Inside", "What I've Done", "Somewhere I Belong", "Pts.OF.Athrty", "New Divide" and "Bleed it Out". He has also directed videos for Story of the Year, Xzibit, and Alkaline Trio. In a 2003 interview, he told MTV that film-making was his true passion, and that "doing the music [was] more of an extra thing".
Outside of his work in music, Hahn provided special effects work on The X-Files and the miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune. He also directed a short film called The Seed, and acquired the rights to produce a film adaption of China Miéville's novel King Rat.
Recently, Hahn directed the trailer for the video game Medal of Honor, featuring Linkin Park's single "The Catalyst". Hahn also directed the music video for "The Catalyst", which premiered on August 26, 2010, as well as the music video for Linkin Park's "Waiting for the End" and "Burning in the Skies". On April 13, 2011, Mike Shinoda confirmed on his blog that the music video for "Iridescent" will be directed by Hahn.
Hahn became the first Korean American to receive a Grammy when the band won the 2002 award for Best Hard Rock Performance.
